‘The Wonder Years’ Reboot In the Works At ABC From Saladin K. Patterson, Lee Daniels & Fred Savage

Entertainment Weekly, ABC is working on a pilot for a new version of The Wonder Years - the hit TV show which ran for six seasons between the late 80s and early 90s. Fans would remember the coming of age narrative which followed Fred Savage as a middle-class suburban teenager, set in the late 1960s and early '70s, experiencing highs and lows, delivered in a wholesome fashion.

The Wonder Years was an iconic series that explored the ups and downs of adolescence years and how the journey is made better with the support of loved ones.The coming-of-age drama, created by Neal Marlens and Carol Black, aired for six seasons on ABC from 1988 to 1993.

The Wonder Years is getting the reboot treatment. ABC announced on Wednesday that the network has committed to producing a pilot for a new reimagining of the iconic coming-of-age sitcom, which ran from 1998 to 1993. Empire co-creator Lee Daniels will executive produce the reboot alongside Saladin K.
