season 3!Apple TV+ finally announced last month that the beloved soccer comedy, led by Jason Sudeikis as the titular coach, will launch its much-anticipated third season on Wednesday, March 15, with one episode, followed by new episodes weekly, every Wednesday.Apple TV+ released the first trailer for the award-winning comedy's third -- and reportedly final -- season on Friday, giving fans a closer look at what they can expect when AFC Richmond returns to the pitch next month. The trailer, set to «You Can't Always Get What You Want,» provides fans with quick glimpses at some of the season's major storylines, with hints at Ted's (Jason Sudeikis) anxiety causing him more troubles, a look at Nate's (Nick Mohammed) turncoat move to West Ham United, glimpses of the love triangle between Keeley (Juno Temple), Jamie (Phil Dunster) and Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein), and more. And of course, it's only fitting that some of the only words in the trailer are uttered by the gruff Roy, who begrudging praises the team from the sidelines during practice.«Whoa, Roy Kent just said great job!» Ted remarks, as Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) pretends to faint. The streamer previously released a quick teaser clip that features more favorites — Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham), Sam Obisanya (Toheeb Jimoh), Leslie Higgins (Jeremy Swift), Dani Rojas (Cristo Fernandez), and Isaac McAdoo (Kola Bokinni) — making their own version of Ted's infamous «Believe» signs. The official season 3 synopsis gives a closer look at what fans can expect from the new episodes:«In the 12-episode third season of , the newly-promoted AFC Richmond faces ridicule as media predictions widely peg them as last in the Premier League and Nate (Nick Mohammed), now hailed as the
Ludwig Göransson Composer Ludwig Göransson won an Oscar in 2019 for his “Black Panther” score, and is again nominated for the original song Academy Award for “Lift Me Up” from the sequel, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” along with Rihanna, Tems and director-writer Ryan Coogler. In the film, Coogler wrestles with the loss of Chadwick Boseman, T’Challa, the original Black Panther, the impact of that loss on the other characters, including T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) and introduces audiences to a new, underwater civilization in the Gulf of Mexico, Talokan, led by Namor (Tenoch Huerta). Göransson reflects on how the song came together: Four years ago, while I was recording in Senegal, I was introduced to a beautiful West African instrument called the kora. The first seeds of “Lift Me Up” came from that trip, and I used a part of the melody in the first “Black Panther” when T’Challa travels to the ancestral plain for the first time and sees his father who has passed on. Hearing it now in a song meant to memorialize Chadwick Boseman himself has been both devastating and cathartic.
Jon Burlingame This year’s Oscar song competition is the usual mix of musical superstars and intriguing unknowns. But for the first time in 30 years, four out of the five entries have a past Oscar winner among their writers. And for only the 14th time in Oscar history, one of the nominated songs is not sung in English; “Naatu Naatu” is the fourth nominee to be performed in an Indian language (including two from 2008’s “Slumdog Millionaire” and one from 2012’s “Life of Pi”). “Applause” from “Tell It Like a Woman”Diane Warren, who recently received an Honorary Oscar for her body of work, earned her 14th competitive nomination for this little-seen anthology of seven short films made by women directors. “I needed a song that could tie it all together,” she says.
