And yet… this may have been the most successful year at the Emmys ever for “The Walking Dead.” That’s because two of the franchise’s most beloved actors, Steven Yeun and Jon Bernthal, picked up their first-ever Emmy nominations. Granted, it’s not for “The Walking Dead” — Yeun is nominated in lead limited/anthology actor for “Beef” and Bernthal is a comedy guest actor nominee for “The Bear” (which is about… Chicago’s “Beef” restaurant) — but at least it’s a belated victory for two actors that made a name for themselves by fighting zombies.

Bob Dylan has covered the Grateful Dead‘s ‘Stella Blue’ during a show in Spain earlier this week.Dylan was performing at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona on Friday (June 23) when he played a rendition of the song, originally taken from the Dead’s 1973 album ‘Wake of the Flood’.While the recent concert marked Dylan’s first time performing ‘Stella Blue’, it continues a recent streak of Grateful Dead covers the legendary singer-songwriter has played this year. These data points are reported by AMC based on one week of streaming data for each respective premiere. “The Walking Dead: Dead City” also made waves on linear TV, where the first episode brought in 2 million viewers accounting for three days of measurement. That includes the AMC cable channel as well as a simulcast across BBCA, IFC and SundanceTV, as well as two encore screenings on AMC. Of those 2 million, 768,000 fell into the adults age 25-54 range, with 573,000 in the adults 18-49 range, per Live+3 data.
