In what could be the most challenging producing assignment ever for an Oscar show, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences today tapped Jesse Collins, Stacey Sher , and Steven Soderbergh to produce the 93rd Annual Academy Awards which take place on Sunday April 25, 2021,  their latest date ever due to delays by the Coronavirus crisis.

Emmy nominee Jesse Collins (“Zoboomafoo”), Oscar nominee Stacey Sher (“Django Unchained” and “Erin Brockovich”) and Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh (best director for 2000’s “Traffic”) will produce the upcoming show, which is scheduled to air on Sunday, April 25.

Steven Soderbergh is a workhorse. I can’t begin to speak for him, as I have no personal connection to the filmmaker.
