Teo Yoo (Past Lives, Love to Hate You) will join Noah Centineo in Season 2 of Netflix‘s The Recruit as a series regular.
Yoo portrays a clever and driven South Korean NIS agent. He’s highly skilled with a subversive sense of humor and willing to go to any lengths to protect those he cares about.
From Alexi Hawley, Season 2 of The Recruit finds CIA Lawyer, Owen Hendricks (Centineo), pulled into a life-threatening espionage situation in South Korea, only to realize that the bigger threat just might be coming from inside the Agency.
Hawley is the show’s creator, showrunner and executive producer. Additionally, Centineo, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, David Bartis, Adam Ciralsky, Charlie Ebersol and Julian Holmes also EP. eOne is the studio.
Yoo most recently starred in A24’s Past Lives directed by Celine Song and opposite Greta Lee. For his portrayal of Hae Sung, he is nominated for an Independent Spirit Award in the category of Best Lead Performance. He can also be seen in Park Chan-Wook’s romantic mystery feature Decision to Leave.
Additional film credits include the Russian musical film Black Money opposite Hanee Lee, Jin-Woong Cho and Sung-Min Lee; Vertigo opposite Woo-Hee Chun and Benson Lee’s Sundance feature, Seoul Searching.
