Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have the support of the Queen one week after their bombshell announcement to step back as senior members of the royal family.

In what shook the Royal Family to its very core, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the life-changing decision to step back as the 'senior' members and become financially independent instead. "We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages," their Instagram statement read further.

Prince Harry announced that he will be stepping down as a senior member of the royal family, along with his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.According to close friend JJ Chalmers, who served in the army with Harry, the prince is putting his family first.Chalmers' interview follows journalist Tom Bradby's assessment that, "Really damaging things were said and done," when Meghan married into the royal family.Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are making some major changes in 2020.
