Queen Elizabeth addressed the British nation in a rare TV broadcast on Sunday, April 5, to discuss the coronavirus pandemic. For the monumental occasion, she wore a bright green frock and a matching brooch — but there’s a lot more behind the ensemble than originally meets the eye.

Her poignant television address provided the words of strength and courage people needed to hear during one of mankind’s biggest challenges in the 21st century.

As concern grows over the worldwide spread of COVID-19, commonly known as coronavirus, many are taking proactive measures to keep themselves safe from the flu-like virus, which can be fatal in the most extreme cases.

Buckingham Palace has assured the public that Queen Elizabeth II is in great health, despite two people in her life testing positive for COVID-19. The same day that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, 55, announced that he had contracted the novel coronavirus, the palace said the 93-year-old monarch was “following all the appropriate advice with regards to her welfare.

The Palace has confirmed that Prince Charles broke the news of his diagnosis to his sons, and he also spoke to his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Prince Charles, who recently tested positive for coronavirus, last met with Queen Elizabeth II on March 12, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson told royal correspondent Rebecca English on Wednesday. While the spokesperson did not confirm whether the Queen tested negative for the virus, they said she "remains in good health" and is "following all the appropriate advice with regard to her welfare."

Sources stated that the 93 years old Queen shifted out of the Buckingham Palace indefinitely on Thursday. All her engagements were cancelled but reports declared her fit and healthy. However, as a precaution, Queen Elizabeth moved out of the palace.
