'The Pursuit of Love' viewers cringe as Dominic West threatens to 'spank' Lily James

Dominic West sent the paparazzi and fans into a frenzy last October when he was snapped getting cosy with actress Lily James. While he and wife Catherine FitzGerald have now reconciled and put the episode in the past, the actor's wife recently reminisced their love affair in an interview with the Irish Independent Revealing that she had "instant attraction" to West when they first met as college kids, Catherine revealed it all happened in Dublin.

Actress Lily James has shared that reading extracts from her old diaries made her realise she’s actually quite similar to her Pursuit of Love alter-ego The BBC period drama, which won rave reviews with audiences when it began last weekend, follows Lily’s character Linda and her childhood best friend Fanny as they each pursue love. While Fanny craves comfort and stability, Linda is a born hopeless romantic, who will stop at nothing to find “The One”.

Dominic West is gearing up for the Pursuit of Love press tour and he, nor Lily James will discuss their recent PDA scandal, an insider exclusively tells Us Weekly.

Lily James has undergone an unrecognisable transformation into Pamela Anderson for a brand new series about the Baywatch star. The new Hulu show, titled Pam & Tommy, is set to tell the story of Anderson’s marriage to musician Tommy Lee back when their sex tape was stolen and leaked publicly.

The Pursuit of Love for a frisson of sexual desire between Dominic West, who plays Uncle Matthew, and Lily James, his on-screen daughter Linda (they were rumoured to have had a brief affair until the tabloids consumed them) should firstly be ashamed of themselves, and, secondly, will be otherwise disappointed.

The Pursuit of Love viewers were left cringing when the show kicked off on BBC One on Sunday 9 May. Dominic West and Lily James star in the series, which has aired months after the pair were photographed looking close in Rome together.

Viewers all settled in on Sunday night to get into The Pursuit of Love which had been hyped up to fill the Downton Abbey and Bridgerton void in our lives. However, if social media is to believed then the show was not doing it for people.

There’s been much talk of Lily James’ series The Pursuit of Love already and if you’re curious to have a nose, you’ll be glad to hear it starts airing on the BBC tonight.
