May suffered complications from emergency hip surgery and died this morning (May 15) at hospital in Kings Lynn, a representative for the band confirmed.

He was 75.May passed away Friday morning (May 15) at a hospital in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, following complications from an emergency hip surgery after falling off a bicycle earlier in the week, the BBC reports.A statement posted on Pretty Things' website remembers May as a "remarkable singer and performer" who "danced to a different drummer."Very sad news, he was a very talented guy and he will be sorely missed.
