Kate Moss has been spotted partying with former The Pogues star Shane MacGowan and his wife Victoria Mary Clarke, at Shane's new art exhibition at the Andipa art gallery in London. The supermodel and icon, 48, posed up a storm on Tuesday as she stood behind Shane, 64, who is now in a wheelchair after suffering ailing health after years of hard partying. Since his successful career with The Pogues, who are responsible for the iconic Christmas hit Fairytale of New York, Shane has become an accomplished artist, and his works were set to sell for up to £32,000 at the exhibition.
Kate looked her usual fashion-forward self at the event in a black dress and tights which she edged up with a pair of chunky black boots. She donned a long gold necklace and a series of bracelets and rings as her trademark blonde hair fell around her shoulders. At one point, she rested her hand on Shane's shoulder as he puffed on a vape and clutched a glass of bubbles, although it's not known if the drink was alcoholic.
Shane's wife Victoria looked like a Grecian goddess in a flowing metallic gown which was cinched in at the waist with a studded belt. On her head she wore a sequinned headdress. Former party girl Kate has gone sober in recent years, overhauling her lifestyle after formerly being known by her friends as 'The Tank' for her ability to consume so much alcohol.
Back in her '90s heyday, she was one of the Primrose Hill set, which included Jude Law and his ex-wife Sadie Frost, and the group were regularly out partying together. Kate's close friend DJ Fat Tony, who is also now sober, recently said: "Kate's been clean for over two years.
