For The Crown‘s fourth season, Peter Morgan brought his decades-spanning royal drama into more familiar territory for many of its viewers. Starting with the election of famously abrasive Conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson) in 1979, Netflix’s The Crown also saw the debut of newcomer Emma Corrin, playing the young Lady Diana Spencer.

David P. White will be stepping down later this spring from his role as National Executive Director and Chief Negotiator for the entertainment media industry’s largest union after a 12 year run, SAG-AFTRA announced on Friday.“David has been an invaluable advocate for our members and deserves immense credit for SAG-AFTRA’s success over the past decade,” SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris said in a statement.

David White is stepping down as SAG-AFTRA’s national executive director and chief contract negotiator. He’ll be staying on at the union until later this spring.

The creators of The Crown have denied reports that they are "struggling" to find an actor to play Prince Andrew in the show's upcoming fifth season.The next instalment of Netflix's royal drama will see all characters recast due to a time jump, with actors already secured for Princess Diana and The Queen. Imelda Staunton will replace Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, whilst Australia actress Elizabeth Debicki will be taking over from Emma Corrin in the role as Diana.
