May the 4th be with you all! Happy Star Wars Day everyone, and to celebrate, we have some exciting news coming to us from a galaxy far, far, away. Yes, as the headline spoils, Taika Waititi is going to be at the helm for a Star Wars feature film.

Taika Waititi will write and direct a new Star Wars film, it has been announced.

A new Disney+ series in a galaxy far, far away is also confirmed

This May the Fourth (or, as it's known in many circles, Star Wars Day), Disney+ threw us all a few bones by releasing a bunch of Star Wars content for our viewing pleasure. They were locked and loaded with gifts, from making Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker available to stream to the premiere of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, an eight-part documentary about the making of The Mandalorian, to the long-awaited series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

We could all use some of “the force” right now.

It's been 15 years in the making, and now, we close the chapter on with a final four-episode arc that unfolded like a standalone movie in and of itself, catching up to the tragic ending of and Darth Sidious' execution of the Jedi-annihilating Order 66.

Just because you have to wear a face mask in public amid the coronavirus pandemic doesn't mean it can't be a stylish face mask featuring one or more of your favorite Disney characters. While some fans have already made their own masks out of old T-shirts, Disney is now selling face masks featuring Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and classic Disney characters, and Disney says the masks meet all U.S. Food and Drug Administration guidelines for non-medical face masks.

Fans across the globe will be celebrating George Lucas' Star Wars this May the Fourth and Disney are also getting involved.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker will arrive on Disney’s streaming service two months early.

While people may or may not have loved what happened to their beloved trilogy, we should feel lucky that we were alive to see the entire Skywalker Saga.

Every movie in the Skywalker saga will finally be available in one place when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker becomes available on Disney+ next month! Disney+ has announced that Episode IX will be available to stream on Star Wars Day, which is Monday, May 4!

May 4 is the unofficial day of all things Star Wars, and if you're scratching your head as to why, just say it out loud: May the fourth. May the fourth be with you, too.
