A southern part of the region has been named Manchester's latest 'property hotspot' after attracting a wide range of house-hunters in recent months. A local estate agent says they've seen strong buyer activity in the area, with an influx of both families and first-time homeowners flocking to see what it has to offer.
Dubbed the 'perfect alternative' to Manchester's more expensive suburbs, Northern Moor is gaining popularity after appealing to many different buyers - and it's easy to see why, thanks to its array of property types, good transport links and plenty of local amenities.
Part of Wythenshawe, the area sits just north of Baguley and five miles south of the city centre, making it an attractive place for professionals wanting to live in the city, but away from hustle and bustle. It's no surprise though that heightened demand to live in the area comes coupled with higher house prices.

Over the last year, properties in Northern Moor sold for average price of £290,230 - which is 10 percent higher than the 2021 pandemic peak of £263,130, according to Rightmove.
The majority of sales in the area were semi-detached properties, selling for an average price of £322,360. Terraced properties sold for an average of £252,795, with flats fetching £148,430.
Gareth Yates, personal estate agent at eXp UK, says: "We’ve only seen prices go one way in the area and they are continuing on a steep upward trajectory as more people discover all it has to offer, which will only attract more businesses to the area as well.
