When James Corden bids farewell to “The Late Late Show” in April, CBS will mark the occasion with a star-studded primetime special.

James Corden is gearing up to say farewell to The Late Late Show, and Tom Cruise is going to help him close out the era with a bang.

James Corden's final episode of the is fast approaching, and to celebrate the show's groundbreaking run, it's bringing in a familiar and suave face for one final epic sketch — the one and only Tom Cruise.CBS announced on Friday that the star and the 44-year-old late-night host will reunite for one final, over-the-top sketch slated to air during a primetime special,, which will air at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Thursday, April 27.In that primetime special, Corden and Cruise will take part in a musical performance during  at the famed Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.

CBS plans to broadcast the last hour of its “The Late Late Show,” which Corden has hosted since March of 2015, on Thursday, April 27, and will add a primetime special that night to help mark the occasion. Tom Cruise will reunite with Corden for one big sketch to air during the primetime special. Cruise has previously joined Corden on “The Late Late Show” for segments include daredevil stunts such as piloting fighter jets and skydiving. In this new meeting, Corden will have Cruise take part in an epic musical performance during “The Lion King” at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood.
