With the release of The Last Of Us Part One remake today many fans have been relieving their experiences with a great game but this time in 4k high definition. Now officially titled The Last Of Us part One this remake was meant to take the original game from 2013 and take it up to par with the sequel that was released in 202.
Visually that is exactly what this remake does but with the story and dialogue aspects it is the same game that you played in 2013 and in 2014 when it was remastered for the PS4. It is a crazy thought that soon we will be closer to the year that The Last Of Us (2033) than the year the first game came out (2013). The Last Of Us shows a gritty destroyed America as the fungal virus that turned everyone into flesh-eating monsters has all but wiped out humanity.
The virus is based on real-life fungi known as the Cordyceps fungus that has forced humans to live in containment zones in a few major cities like Boston. The game has you playing as a tough middle-aged man named Joel as he travels with his teenage girl companion Ellie as she is immune to the virus and holds the key to a cure. The Last Of Us has a huge fan base and won the Game Of The Year Award when it was released back in 2013.
So why would a game of this magnitude need a remake after it already looked so well? Some believe it is a very long trail marker for the Upcoming The Last Of Us TV series that will stream on HBO Max sometime next year. Fans are slightly upset with the fact that so much time and energy was put into a remake that just looks better visually rather than another installment of the series. What is the point of being able to see the wrinkles on Joel’s face better if we are playing the same game we have all already beat a few
