The 'hilarious' Ant and Dec I'm a Celebrity balloon order that gave North Wales firm a lift

ITV reality series filmed at Gwrych Castle in Abergele this autumn for the show's latest series. It showcased the castle and the region's incredible scenery from the very first episode last month.

Gwrych Castle was perhaps the most surprising success of the latest series of I'm a Celebrity. The production was forced to relocate because of the coronavirus pandemic, and it plumped for the vast estate in Abergele.

Abergele castle, Mirror Online reports. Cottages at Graiglwyd Springs in Penmaenmawr cost up to £1,000 a week for the poshest dwelling, Sycamore cottage, where it's believed Ant and Dec are staying.

ITV stars were previously rumoured to be based at Bodysgallen Hall in Llandudno, after the production relocated to Abergele this year amid the coronavirus pandemic. The four-and-a-half star hotel was tipped as a suitable alternative to the Palazzo Versace hotel in Australia - where the hosts and the participating celebrities usually stay.

ITV presenter had been 'mobbed' in Conwy. As previously reported, the 45-year-old was said to have visited Aladdin's Cave in the local town.

ITV production is based at Gwrych Castle in Abergele this year and the production crew have all been staying in the area. This includes the presenting duo who discussed the reality of living in North Wales on the latest episode of I'm a Celebrity companion show the Daily Drop.

In place of Australia which is off-limits because of travel restrictions, Gwrych Castle in Abergele is where the ITV favourite is based for 2020.

Strictly presenter posted the snap on her husband's Instagram - which she's running while he's away. He's currently in Gwrych Castle for the ITV production, which is set to conclude in just over two weeks.

ITV series began at the weekend and the first two episodes have already made the region proud. It's highlighted our incredible landscape as well as the beautiful Gwrych Castle - the base of the show.

I'm a Celebrity from Gwrych Castle. They arrived in Abergele just last week for the production, with Ant recently seen around Conwy.

The celebs were dropped off at the top of the cliff and then had to abseil down to get their bags, before they headed to Gwrych Castle, where this year's series will take place. The challenge offered incredible scenery of the region, leaving viewers wondering where it was filmed.
