The award recognizes the “exceptional rising talent of an actor who has elevated the bar of excellence to international acclaim.” Ashley is known for portraying Kate Sharma, the female lead of Season 2 of the Netflix series “Bridgerton.” She reprises her role in Season 3, which premieres next month.

Kevin Costner will also be on hand with the first installment of his Western epic “Horizon, an American Saga.” Hollywood may have a lighter presence due to a combination of factors – including last year’s actors and writers strikes, which created production delays, as well as a tough economy — but this year’s festival will see no shortage of glamor and stars on the red carpet.

So how it works out — and I hope it does — but they’ve got a lot of different shows going on,” he said.

This summer, Kevin Costner will return to the Western genre as both star and director with “Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1” (and the movie will debut at Cannes). But for fans of all things Costner, “Horizon” is essentially the reason why his hit TV series “Yellowstone” is ending.
