Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has urged the Glazers to make a quick decision on the takeover after admitting Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani's bid was 'exciting'.
In November, United's owners announced they would be exploring options for further investment in the Reds. As time passed, two bidders hit the front of the race, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim.
While Ratcliffe is proposing a bid which would seal 60 per cent of the Reds for himself, Sheikh Jassim is wanting a full takeover of the club. In conversation with Compare Bet, Saha admitted he would lean towards the Qatari banker's offer but the priority was to get the deal done to help Ten Hag in the transfer window.
He said: "You can see the differences between Sheikh Jassim and Jim Ratcliffe with what those two are offering. I think the Qatari offer seems to be more exciting, with more control and it doesn’t include the Glazers which is a big plus for the fans.

"It’s all about a rebuild for the Qataris – the ground, the infrastructure, the trust from the fans. There are so many elements that we are not aware of and we won’t know all the information, but for the club’s sake, this has to be done quickly.
"It’s taken too long and it will start to affect the team and the manager. Erik ten Hag needs to know what he can spend and who he can sign, so it needs to be completed now."
Ten Hag has already admitted he is unaware of his budget for the summer as the takeover process rumbles on. However, MEN Sport understands the Dutchman has prioritised a number of positions to improve the squad this summer.
