If you haven’t already heard, the Barbie movie is currently being filmed out in L.A.Though it’s not being released in cinemas until July 2023 (sob), we’re getting our fix through some of the behind-the-scenes content coming from the set, namely in the form of the very bronzed and very glam looking acting talent, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. We’ve seen snippets of the duo in full neon lycra on roller skates, we’ve heard Margot’s perky Barbie voice, and now we’ve uncovered another BTS secret: the fake tan being used to give our favourite doll-like duo their Malibu glow.
How do we know this? Kimberley Nkosi, sunless tanning expert, has been speaking of her experience so far on the Barbie set, naming some of her go-to items for giving Ryan a Ken-worthy glow. We’re not sure if the same products are being used on Margot, but if Kimberley is the movie tanning expert, it seems likely.

And that’s a wrap on Barbie!
Zack Sharf Plot details for Margot Robbie’s “Barbie” movie have been under tight lock and key, but rumors have circulated for months that the movie features several actors as different iterations of Barbie and Ken. That rumor has been seemingly confirmed by Emma Mackey, the “Sex Education” breakout and “Death on the Nile” star who told Empire magazine that all of the Barbies featured in “Barbie” had a sleepover at the start of filming. Mackey was in attendance, so it seems likely she is also playing Barbie in the film.“Right in the beginning, we had a sleepover for the Barbies, which would involve playing games with Scott [Evans] and Ncuti [Gatwa],” Mackey said.
