‘The Eight Mountains’ Trailer: Cannes 2022 Jury Prize Winner Hits NYC Theaters On April 28

As if “The Bear” Season 2 couldn’t be more hyped. Variety reports that “Better Call Saul” star Bob Odenkirk joins the cast for the upcoming season of FX‘s hit kitchen drama.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Vice TV has dropped the first trailer for “Dark Side of the Ring” Season 4. The trailer (see below) teases several episodes of the upcoming season, including those focusing on Marty Jannetty, Abdullah the Butcher, Magnum T.A. and Junkyard Dog. The fourth season of the popular pro wrestling docuseries, which will consist of 10 episodes, will debut on May 30 at 10 p.m. ET. “Dark Side of the Ring” is narrated by wrestling legend Chris Jericho. The official description of the fourth season states that it will “explore stories like the emotional rollercoaster of one of wrestling’s most captivating and controversial couples, Chris Candido and Tammy “Sunny” Sytch, the car accident that derailed the career of future World Champion Magnum T.A., wrestling’s most unhinged monster, Abdullah the Butcher, a focused look on the troubled life of Marty Jannetty, Shawn Michaels’ former tag team partner, and much more.”

Ezra Miller didn’t show up at CinemaCon, but The Flash director Andy Muschietti did, and he took time to praise the tabloid-laden actor, who stars in what is expected to be a huge blockbuster this summer on June 16.

The critically-acclaimed HBO Max comedy series “The Other Two” returns with its third season next month. Starring Heléne Yorke, Drew Tarver, Case Walker, and Molly Shannon, the show was created by former “Saturday Night Live” co-head writers Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider.

Ethan Shanfeld Brooke and Cary are back as television’s funniest forgotten siblings in Season 3 of “The Other Two,” returning to HBO Max with two new episodes on May 4. Drew Tarver, Heléne Yorke, Molly Shannon, Ken Marino and Case Walker star in the 10-episode season alongside recurring cast Josh Segarra, Wanda Sykes and Brandon Scott Jones. The Season 3 logline, per HBO Max, reads: “After comparing themselves for years to their much-younger pop star brother, ChaseDreams (Walker), who is now a full adult, and their talk show host mother (Shannon), who’s now more powerful than she could have ever imagined, Brooke and Cary (Yorke and Tarver) are finally standing on their own two feet — fully ‘successful’ in their own right! And yet, they somehow find themselves comparing themselves to new people once again???”

After the release of 2017’s “Darkest Hour,” filmmaker Joe Wright was living the dream. His film was nominated for six Oscars (winning two), and it appeared he was going to enter the conversation as one of the best filmmakers working today.

Nick Vivarelli International Correspondent British director Joe Wright, who helmed Winston Churchill drama “Darkest Hour” – which earned Gary Oldman an Oscar for his portrayal as the British prime minister – has now changed historical sides.  Wright is at Rome’s Cinecittà Studios shooting high-end TV drama “M. Son of the Century” which chronicles Benito Mussolini’s rise to power. A timely tale because, as he puts it: “Populist leaders are sprouting up all over the world.”  Aesthetically, the show will be “quite outlandish” with deeply saturated colors, punctuated by a “kind of techno score,” the director said during a recent set visit. Though “It’s not told in a vérité style,” Wright pointed out that “All the facts of what happened, they’re all there.”

The Cannes Film Festival revealed the lineup for its 76th edition Thursday morning, and the Official Selection featured a record number of films directed by women filmmakers set to play in Competition.

Hulu’s acclaimed period black comedy series “The Great” returns for a third season. Created, written, and executive produced by Tony McNamara (writer of “The Favourite”) and executive produced by Marian Macgowan, Mark Winemaker, Elle Fanning, Nicholas Hoult, Brittany Kahan Ward, Doug Mankoff, Andrew Spaulding, Ron West, and Josh Kesselman, the show stars Fanning and Hoult as Catherine the Great and Peter III of Russia respectively.

Selome Hailu Catherine the Great and Peter III of Russia are doing all they can to make it work before they call it quits. Hulu released a trailer for the newest installation of “The Great,” the satirical series that follows Catherine’s (Elle Fanning) rise to power. After she imprisoned Peter’s (Nicholas Hoult) friends and attempted to murder him in Season 2, Season 3 sees them try to improve their marriage. The trailer opens with Catherine and Peter seated beside each other, confessing to the problems in their relationship. “There was some bloodshed,” Catherine says. “She tried to kill me,” Peter responds. “I did,” Catherine admits, before asking, “How can we trust each other?”

Kate Bush‘s ‘Wuthering Heights’, has died.The news of the 69-year-old’s death was announced on social media by his wife Leila on Saturday (April 8).Sharing a photo of the pair, she wrote on Instagram: “It is with deep sadness and regret that I let you know that my loving husband Ian Bairnson has passed away on Friday 7th April.“Ian was the sweetest, kindest, loving husband I could ever have wished for and I take comfort that he is resting now up there in his very own piece of ‘Blue Blue Sky’.”Revealing that her husband suffered a long battle with dementia, Leila continued: “Although Ian has left us, his musical legacy stays with us and will continue to delight and brighten our lives, as it did his, forever.“I would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Frimley Park Hospital, the managers and carers at Lynwood Care Home and our families and close friends for the love and support they have provided us during these challenging years of Ian’s long battle with dementia.”A post shared by Leila Bairnson (@leila_bairnson)Born on the Shetland Islands of Scotland, Bairnson moved to London in the early 1970s and was invited to join Cockney Rebel by Steve Harley, though instead opting to join the band Pilot from his homeland.The Scottish musician was a renowned session player, featuring as part of the Alan Parsons Project and working with the likes of Paul McCartney, Sting and Mick Fleetwood.His most iconic turn though came when he played the solo on Kate Bush’s huge 1978 single ‘Wuthering Heights’.Bairnson retired from performing live in 2018 and was battling dementia in his final years.

Harrison Ford returns as the legendary hero archaeologist in the highly anticipated fifth installment of the iconic “Indiana Jones” franchise. EXCLUSIVE: VMI Releasing has picked up North American rights to the fantastical WWII drama Freaks vs. the Reich (formerly Freaks Out), which won eight awards at the Venice Film Festival in 2021, including the Grafetta d’Oro for Best Film, and went on to land six David di Donatello Awards from the Academy of Italian Cinema the following year. The second feature from director Gabriele Mainetti (They Call Me Jeeg) will bow in theaters and on digital on April 28th.

Naman Ramachandran The Cannes Film Festival has confirmed the world premiere of “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” the news that was first revealed by Variety last week. James Mangold and Harrison Ford will climb the steps of the Palais des Festivals on May 18 alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Ethann Isidore and Mads Mikkelsen.  More to follow.
