The Doobie Brothers reschedule 50th anniversary tour

As you probably already know, filmmaker Lynn Shelton tragically passed away last month. Since then, we’ve seen her partner/collaborator Marc Maron discuss it on his podcast, and many of her previous colleagues share stories and love on social media.

Greg Evans Associate Editor/Broadway CriticThe pre-recorded 65th Annual Drama Desk Awards, postponed due to the Black Lives Matter protests in New York, has been rescheduled for streaming on Saturday, June 13, at 7:30pm ET.The special presentation will stream on NY1.com and DramaDeskAwards.com. A simultaneous telecast is planned for New York City’s Spectrum News NY1 channel.The pre-recorded ceremony was originally set to air May 31.

It's not the first time the band's shows have been delayed

Nostalgia is big business and the record industry loves a good anniversary reissue. Once or twice a decade, why not repackage an old album? Maybe remaster it. Maybe add a big pile of extra tracks no one thought it worth inflicting on the public before. For the 50th anniversary of his ‘Tea For The Tillerman’ album, Yusuf/Cat Stevens has done something different, though. He’s re-recorded the whole album anew, calling it ‘Tea For The Tillerman²’ or just ‘T4TT²’.

Even though Robert Pattinson’s star power was enough to get the attention of a certain contingent of film fans for “Good Time,” it took the power of Adam Sandler and “Uncut Gems” to really make the Safdie Brothers household names. And now, the filmmakers are hoping to expand their reach with new TV projects, with the help of a couple of powerhouse studios.

The BBC have confirmed their plans to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Glastonbury.

Glastonbury, understandably, cannot take place this year, with festival organisers announcing its cancellation back in March.

Oooh la la, the  Jonas Brothers  and  Karol G  are dancing from a distance in their latest music video! The group and the Columbian songstress premiered the video for their joint single X on Monday, May 18, and it’s just as amazing as fans would expect. Keeping up with the social distancing guidelines, the video was shot in everyone’s respective homes. Due to the Coronavirus – Karol, couldn’t join the brothers in the video, but that wasn’t an issue at all.

The flirtatious, Latin-infused track sees the trio urging someone to “kiss me like your ex is in the room,” but given that there is a pandemic going on, that fantastical kiss has to remain in all of our imaginations.
