EXCLUSIVE: Comedian and writer Dina Hashem has set a November 10th premiere date for Dina Hashem: Dark Little Whispers, her first-ever stand-up special, which is headed for Prime Video. View the trailer for it above.
In Hashem’s breakout hour of comedy, exec produced by fellow comic Sam Morril (Netflix’s Same Time Tomorrow), she discusses everything from death threats and existential dilemmas, to relationship problems, quiet people, and her upbringing as a first generation Arab-American. Amazon Studios and POP Studios served as producers. In addition to Hashem and Morril, EPs included Kelly Van Valkenburg and James Webb.
Currently a writer on The Daily Show, Hashem has also recently been staffed on Season 2 of Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls, as well as B.J. Novak’s FX anthology The Premise. Known for her deadpan delivery and nuanced observations on stage, she has been a stand-out on the New York comedy scene since landing her first appearance on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle. Named one of Team Coco’s “Comics to Watch” in 2017, she made her late-night debut on Conan and garnered nearly three million views with a set for Comedy Central Digital.
Previously seen on series like Night Train with Wyatt Cenac, 2 Dope Queens, and This Week at the Comedy Cellar, she’s also worked in voiceover for Apple TV+’s Central Park and will next lend her voice to Ramy Youssef’s upcoming animated series #1 Happy Family USA for Amazon and A24, where she will additionally serve as a writer.

The Office showrunner Greg Daniels has responded to reports that a revival of the US sitcom is in development.Last month, a Puck News report claimed a reboot of the series would be announced when the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike came to an end. Prime Video unveiled the full voice cast at New York Comic Con on Saturday, along with a teaser of an original song called “Happy Day in Hell.” Season 1 series regulars include Beatriz as Vaggie, David as Husk, Glenn as Niffty, Erika Henningsen as Charlie, Alex Brightman as Sir Pentious, Blake Roman as Angel Dust, Amir Talai as Alastor, with Christian Borle and Joel Perez rounding out the voice ensemble as demons of Hell, Vox and Valentino, respectively.

The scheduling strategy was set to be announced on Saturday at the New York Comic-Con, where Fox is holding panels for both “Grimsburg” and its most recent new animated comedy, the Dan Harmon-created “Krapopolis.” At the event, “Grimsburg” showrunner Chadd Gindin planned to discuss his new series and introduce an early screening of the show’s first episode. Both “Grimsburg” and “Krapopolis” are produced by Bento Box and are wholly owned by Fox.
Brian Steinberg Senior TV Editor Sarah Silverman and Leslie Jones will each get another crack at guest-hosting Comedy Central‘s “Daily Show” as the network continues a protracted search for a replacement for Trevor Noah behind the desk of the venerable late-night mainstay. Executives at the network intend to put the program back into production starting Monday, October 16, and will continue to rely on guests as they have since Noah departed late last year. Like other late-night shows, “Daily” has been dark for weeks, owing to the Hollywood writers’ strike.
