Harry Styles Accepts His First Acting Award of Oscar Season

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter On the stage at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, Harry Styles is a bonafide rock star, brimming with swagger and self confidence. But Styles, the actor, was more soft spoken while accepting an acting award at the Toronto International Film Festival. Styles was a man of few words as he, along with the cast of “My Policeman,” received the ensemble award at the festival’s Tribute Awards on Sunday.  “Thank you so much to everyone here on behalf of all of us for this wonderful, wonderful award,” said Styles, who stars in the romance drama as a closeted police officer. “We all loved working on this film so much. And we hope you enjoy it.”

Will Al Roker return to Today after wife Deborah Roberts cuts vacation short?

Al Roker has been missing from the Today show for quite some time as he enjoys an extended vacation in Europe with his wife Deborah Roberts. However, the beloved weatherman might soon be changing his plans following the sad death of Queen Elizabeth II and could very well return early to Today to report on the monarch's passing from the UK.WATCH: World leaders pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth IIAl's most recent social media update saw him on his way to Paris on Thursday, but a few hours after news of Queen Elizabeth's death was announced, his wife Deborah was on the Eurostar traveling to London to join the GMA team outside Buckingham Palace. It stands to reason that Al could have paused his vacation and made the trip from Paris with his wife. His Today co-star Savannah Guthrie landed in the UK on Friday morning, so Al may join her in reporting live from the Palace.READ: Al Roker's long absence on Today explained as star returns to social mediaREAD: When will the Queen's cause of death be revealed? However, Al has not shared his whereabouts and did not feature in any of Deborah's posts on Friday when she updated fans on her journey to London, so he could have stayed in France awaiting his wife's return.A post shared by Al Roker (@alroker)Al's last update saw him on his way to Paris with his wifeAnother possibility is that Al is making his way back to New York to help helm the Today show from the studios after some of his co-hosts, including Savannah and Jenna Bush Hager, made their way to the UK.Their presence comes after Queen Elizabeth II passed away peacefully at Balmoral Castle on September 8 aged 96.

Brian May and Roger Taylor join Foo Fighters for Queen set at Taylor Hawkins tribute concert

Queen – lead guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor – joined the Foo Fighters to perform a five-song set of their own hits at the first Taylor Hawkins tribute concert. The special gig – which took place at Wembley Stadium last night (September 3) and was simulcast all over the web, TV and streaming platforms – honoured the late Foos drummer with performances from Liam Gallagher, Mark Ronson, Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme, Supergrass, Metallica’s Lars Ulrich and AC/DC’s Brian Johnson, The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, Blink-182’s Travis Barker, Kesha, and more. The Queen/Foos supergroup were introduced with archival footage of Hawkins himself, who welcomed Roger Taylor out at one of the Foos own shows before he passed. Hawkins was a noted superfan of the British rock icons, and Foos sets would often see the drummer take over from Dave Grohl to perform lead vocals on a cover of ‘Somebody To Love’.“When I was 10 years old, my older sister took me to go see Queen in concert – the first concert I ever saw – and I watched the fucking drummer, and I said, ‘I wanna fucking be him, I wanna do that’,” Hawkins says in the archival clip screened at last night’s concert, after hyping the crowd up with his imitation of Freddie Mercury’s famous “ay-oh” chant. The set itself began with a cover of Queen’s 1977 hit ‘We Will Rock You’, for which Taylor was joined on drums by his son Rufus, and Luke Spiller of The Struts sang lead vocals.

Daniel Craig Worked With a Dialect Coach for Months for ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’: ‘I’d Forgotten the Accent’

J. Kim Murphy Daniel Craig brushed up on his voice to shoot “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” sharing that he worked with a coach in order to regain the Southern accent that he used to play detective Benoit Blanc in the first “Knives Out.” “I went away to work with an accent coach for three or four months before we started shooting,” Craig told Empire magazine in the publication’s upcoming profile of “Glass Onion.” “I’d forgotten the accent and I didn’t want to do a pastiche. I wanted to make it as grounded and as anchored in reality as possible.” In the first “Knives Out,” Blanc’s voice is described by the uppity Ransom Drysdale (played by Chris Evans) as a “Kentucky-fried Foghorn Leghorn drawl” — a far cry from Craig’s own British accent, which he employed across his 15-year tenure leading the James Bond series.
