The Crown Has Cast Its Prince William and Kate Middleton for Season 6

Heartstopper season two has set four new cast members and entered production.

"The Crown" star Matt Smith is sharing his interactions with the British royals and claims he once heard Queen Elizabeth II used to watch the hit TV show.  During a recent appearance on "Today," Smith opened up about the time he met  the future King Charles III and Prince Harry. While he only managed to compliment the king on his shoes, he met Harry at a polo match and got confirmation that he was a fan of the show. "I met Harry once at the polo, which sounds a bit grand, but it wasn’t that grand.

After starring as a young version of Prince Philip during the first two seasons of The Crown, Matt Smith has a unique insight into whether Queen Elizabeth II actually binged the Netflix series based on her life.

Between Friday and Sunday (Sept. 9-11), the show’s viewership in the U.K. increased more than 800% compared with the previous Friday-Sunday period, according to data analytics firm Whip Media. In the U.S., viewership of “The Crown” more than quadrupled from Friday-Sunday compared with the previous week, and in France viewing jumped threefold, per Whip Media.

Kate Middleton’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton have paid a poignant tribute to The Queen, following her death on Thursday September 8 at the age of 96. The Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge’s parents marked the sad occasion with a tribute to her majesty on their family business Party Pieces’ social media page, where they referenced her enduring 70 year reign and described her passing as a time of “great sadness.” The post, which was shared alongside a smiling image of the monarch one day after the news of her death first broke, read: “RIP Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Olivia Williams has been cast as Camilla Parker Bowles and Jonny Lee Miller will appear as Prime Minister John Major.

They are usually separated by an eight-hour time difference and an 11 hour flight. But for this week only Prince Harry and Prince William found themselves just a few minutes walk from one another after the Sussexes returned to the UK, Netflix cameras in tow.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to keep apart from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle until his bombshell memoir is released. With the Sussexes staying half a mile away at Frogmore Cottage, it is unlikely that the brothers will see each other during his short UK visit, according to reports with William and Harry's relationship remaining unsteady. And with Harry's tell-all book set to hit the shelves later this year along with a documentary, there could be more rifts between the two.
