Love Island's Amy Hart has revealed a surprise friendship with the late Darius Campbell Danesh, after he tragically passed away earlier this month, aged 41. Darius' family revealed on Tuesday 16 August that the former Pop Idol 2001 star had been found "unresponsive" at his apartment in Minnesota, US, and was pronounced dead on 11 August. Amy, 29, who appeared on series 5 of ITV's Love Island in 2019, no doubt surprised some of her 1.1million followers when she revealed her unlikely friendship with Darius after posting a sweet selfie of the pair to her Instagram story, along with a tribute to him.

Amber Heard has hired new legal counsel amid her ongoing litigious battle with ex-husband Johnny Depp. Last month, Heard took the necessary step toofficially appeal the verdict in Depp's defamation case against her. According to the legal documents, obtained by ET, the  actress' lawyers at the time filed the paperwork on July 21 in Fairfax County, Virginia, alerting the court they would be filing an appeal in the case where jurors awarded the  star $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.

NBA legend, Bill Russell. The 11-time NBA champion as a player, coach with the Boston Celtics and one of the most important figures in NBA history, died at the age of 88, his family announced Sunday, with his wife Jeannine by his side. His family announced the sad news in a statement shared to Twitter, where they reflected on Russell's lasting legacy and his accomplishments both on and off the court.«Bill’s two state championships in high school offered a glimmer of the incomparable run of pure team accomplishment to come: twice an NCAA champion; captain of a gold-medal-winning US Olympic team; 11 times an NBA champion; and at the helm for two NBA championships as the first black head coach of any North American professional sports team,» the statement read.

It’s been four months since Oscars Night 2022 when Will Smith infamously slapped host Chris Rock on, as Rock called it, “the greatest night in the history of television.” But Rock and Smith have barely addressed the incident since it happened. So that makes Rock’s comments about the slap during a recent stand-up set in New Jersey all the more intriguing.
