The best Super Bowl commercials of 2020

Super Bowl LIV is over and done, and now the Kansas City Chiefs have walked away with the year's Lombardi Trophy, some championship rings, and bragging rights after defeating the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night. While the big game might be over, though, those Super Bowl Sunday commercials will last forever. As expensive as those precious seconds of airtime were this year, tons of companies competed for the best Super Bowl ad of 2020.

There were plenty of celebrity cameos in the commericals that ran during Sunday's (Feb. 2) Super Bowl LIV, but only one of them featured a Hollywood legend making his voiceover debut alongside a snippet of a new song from a legendary rock group that typically stays as far away from the big game as possible.

Okay, so the Kansas City Chiefs may have won Super Bowl LIV, but for many of us, we only care about the commercials.As is tradition, brands busted out the big bucks for elaborate, star-studded ads for the 2020 event.

Shakira's hips don't lie, but it's her tongue that has everyone talking. Yes, really. 

While many viewers watch the Super Bowl for the game or halftime performance (hello, JLo and Shakira), some just tune in to the annual NFL championship game for the commercials. Last year we saw Cardi B hilariously show off her signature sound “okurr” in a Pepsi commercial and this year Alex Rodriguez is hitting our TV screens for a new commercial for Presidente Beer, the Dominican Republic-based beer he is now a co-owner and chairman.

This year's are truly doing the most, but nothing comes close to a completely deranged Rocket Mortgage commercial starring your fave Jason Momoa. IDK if you're watching the Super Bowl and caught this nightmare IRL (so sorry if so), but in the commercial Jason literally...like...peels off his abs. And if that's not horrifying enough, he then peels of his hair and is fully bald at the top—an image my eyeballs simply weren't prepared for and frankly do not deserve!
