Located in the Bradshaw Valley, north of Bolton, is Jumbles Country Park - offering waterside views and forest trails. At the centre is Jumbles Reservoir, which was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1971.
You can follow a three-and-a-half mile circular route around the reservoir, which starts and ends at the car park. For a longer walk you can head north to Turton Tower.
Dogs are welcome at the onsite café, which has an outdoor seating area. It serves a great selection of food and drinks, the perfect way to start or end your walk.
Jumbles Country Park Café is open Monday - Sunday, 10am to 4pm
This route takes you along the River Mersey, through the flood meadows of Sale Ees, ending in Longford Park, Trafford’s largest public park. It's just under three miles long and there are lots of different landscapes to keep your dog interested.
In the centre of Longford Park you’ll find Longford Café. Dogs are allowed inside on a lead and the café serves a delicious range of cakes and light meals.
