Last year, we saw Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson win an Oscar for Best Documentary Feature for his fantastic acclaimed musical doc “Summer of Soul” which focused on the Harlem Culture Festival in 1969. The composer, filmmaker, producer, musician, historian, and travel/culture enthusiast (a true modern renaissance man) has been reportedly courted by Disney to tackle another one of their live-action remakes.

Back in October, I was able to get reliable information that said Danish actor Lars Mikkelsen, brother of Mads Mikkelsen, was indeed set to reprise the role of Grand Admiral Thrawn in live-action for Dave Filoni’s “Star Wars” series, “Ahsoka.” And today during the show’s panel at Star Wars Celebration in London the studio made it official by having Mikkelsen appear on stage (see below).

This is a weird thing to say, considering the studio’s long history of success, but Pixar needs a hit.
