With the rise in the cost of living, you may be struggling to afford certain things, including energy bills and rent.
That's why claiming certain benefits could come in useful when you need it most.
If you feel that need benefits, or want to see if you can claim extra money then it doesn't hurt to quickly check and see what you can claim.

But, it is important to note that your benefit claim could be affected if there's a change in your employment status or change in working hours.
Currently, there are 25 types of payments available that you can claim, the Liverpool Echo reports.
It is also reported that many families in the UK are entitles to welfare from the government but are unaware they can claim it.

Child Benefit:
You get Child Benefit if you’re responsible for bringing up a child who is:
Only one person can get Child Benefit for a child.
It’s paid every 4 weeks and there’s no limit to how many children you can claim for.
You can get £21.15 for the eldest or only child and £14 per additional child.
Guardian's Allowance:
You could get Guardian’s Allowance if you’re bringing up a child whose parents have died. You may also be eligible if there’s one surviving parent.
The Guardian’s Allowance rate is £18 a week. You get it on top of Child Benefit and it’s tax-free.
You must tell the Guardian’s Allowance Unit about certain changes to your circumstances.
Maternity:
Maternity Allowance is usually paid to you if you don’t qualify for Statutory Maternity
