Joe Gatto announced he was leaving the “Impractical Jokers” after nine seasons with the show to focus on co-parenting his children with his wife Bessy. He wasn’t done with comedy though.Less than a month later, Gatto, 47, began pursuing stand-up.On a cold January evening in Appleton, WI, he took the stage by himself for the first time.“It was a small club,” Gatto told the New York Post. “I did 35 minutes that night.”The Staten Island native was understandably nervous; up until that point, he was always part of an ensemble. Could he carry 100% of the funny?Simply put, yes.“It ended up being a great experience,” Gatto smiled.
