The original Teletubbies sun baby, Jess Smith, has shared that she was welcomed her first baby, with long-term boyfriend Ricky Latham.
The former child star, who is now in her late 20s, shared the happy news on her Instagram page, although she did not reveal the newborn's gender or name. Posting a snap of the newborn baby's tiny hand holding her finger, she simply penned the caption: "One whole week of you [red heart emoji]" Jess's followers were quick to congratulate her, with one writing: "Oooh. Congratulations.
Good luck with being a mom. You can do it. You're gonna be a super mom.
Enjoy the love and enjoy being together." While another qipped: "Congratulations, 'Mrs. Sun'!" and a third added: "Congrulations enjoy your baby." Jess announced her pregnancy back in October when she shared a picture of her ultrasound scan, which she captioned: "When two becomes three." Jess played the sun baby on the iconic show from 1997 until 2001, waking up Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa and Po in Teletubbyland. With her being so young when she starred on the show, she has previously admitted that she doesn’t remember a thing from filming the show.
In 2022, she told the Daily Star: “Unfortunately, I don't remember anything from the original filming. I've been told I was placed in front of a mirror and was laughing at myself. "I was put in a high chair, and my dad was playing with toy cars on the ground to make me look down.
