Teen Mom star Amber Portwood was left in tears as she confessed that she is still looking for her fiancé, Gary Wayt, who is currently missing. According to reports by Bryson City Police Department in North Carolina, Gary has been unaccounted for since June 9.
The police department shared a missing person alert on their Facebook page, describing Gary as a bald, brown-eyed man who stands at 6'1" and weighs approximately 205 pounds.
They also noted that he drives a grey 2009 Nissan Rogue SUV with an Indiana state registration plate.
According to an incident report obtained by TMZ, Amber informed the police about Gary's disappearance and stated that he was last seen at their hotel on Sunday evening. But this worrying news comes just days after the announcement of their engagement and his first appearance on Teen Mom on June 6.
In the spinoff show, Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Amber introduced Gary during a group Zoom call with fellow cast members including Cheyenne Floyd, Maci Bookout and Catelynn Baltierra. Gary made quite the entrance and introduced himself by saying: "Hello everybody.
My name is actually Gary believe it or not." This was a nod to Amber's former flame, Gary Shirley, who is the father of her 15 year old daughter Leah. On Tuesday, Amber sat down with video creator Elle Bee on June 11, to discuss Gary's disappearance and pled to the public to help aid in finding him.
Elle Bee posted bits of their discussion on her Instagram, captioned: "Amber Portwoods Fiance was reported missing, he has not been seen or heard from [since] this post Saturday 6/09/2024. Amber joins my youtube live begging people to take this serious, saying she would never hurt her Fiance! Check out full interview over on my YouTube channel."
