A Taylor Swift super-fan drowned while searching for the star on a New Zealand beach, a coroner has ruled.
Stephen Kapeli, 26, died at Takapuna Beach in April 2017, after being granted an hour of unescorted leave from a mental health facility, where he was staying amid a battle with bipolar disorder.
The keen gamer left the North Shore Hospital in Takapuna at 4:30 pm local time on April 5, 2017 and a search was launched when he did not return an hour later.
