Fans who have secured themselves tickets to Taylor Swift’s huge UK tour next year are ‘panicking’ after discovering a small-print detail that could see them turned away from the gig.
With general tickets going on sale this week, fans have started to discover that Ticketmaster has listed all the UK dates as a ‘lead booker’ event, which, according to the ticket retailer, means that the cardholder for the order will need to attend the event in person.
It also means that the tickets cannot be transferred or passed on. Ticketmaster says it has introduced the policy in a bid to crackdown on resellers and scams but it has left a number of fans, particularly younger ones, in doubt as to whether they will still be able to attend the show they have booked for.

Another fan posted: “I have my access code for Taylor swift tickets, just reading t&c’s and says the lead booker needs to be there when entering the stadium? I am booking these for my daughter and her friend not myself?how does that work? Can I not transfer them like other tickets?”
