Taylor Simone Ledward Accepts SAG Award For Chadwick Boseman With Words Of Hope: “Be A Crusader”

With less than 48 hours to go for the much-delayed Academy Awards 2021 to begin, the excitement is quite different this time as it will be the first award show to be held in person in more than over a year. While the Grammys was a  mix of in person and virtual, it will be interesting to see how the Academy Awards pull this off.

In December, Marvel Studios announced they wouldn't recast the role of Chadwick Boseman's King T'Challa for the upcoming sequel out of respect for Boseman's memory.

In a first of its kind, Netflix announced on Tuesday they would be airing a special documentary titled Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of an Artist to honor the fallen star who passed away last summer after a secret four-year battle against cancer.

Chadwick Boseman's friends and former co-stars are paying tribute to the indelible mark left by the late actor's life and legacy in a new Netflix special. features interviews with Spike Lee, Viola Davis, Danai Gurira and more of the performers and directors who worked alongside Boseman during his celebrated career.

Chadwick Boseman's legacy and recent work was honored during the 27th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards with a posthumous award for best actor in a lead role. During the ceremony, Boseman earned a posthumous statuette for his role asLevee Green inMa Rainey's Black Bottom.Boseman's wife Simone Ledward Boseman accepted the award, who thanked the film's cast and crew for her husband's achievement.

Daniel Kaluuya snagged the best actor award in a filmat the 27th annual SAG Awards on Sunday night. The actor, who portrays Fred Hampton,chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party, in Judas and the Black Messiah.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards aka SAG Awards 2021 took place on Sunday, April 4. Actor Daniel Kaluuya who took home the Best Supporting Actor honour for his role in Judas and the Black Messiah remembered his Black Panther co-star and also dedicated his win to Boseman.
