Tate McRae is sharing details about working with Olivia Rodrigo and their friendship!
During an interview with SiriusXM to promote her new single, “Greedy,” the 20-year-old singer spoke about her appearance in Olivia‘s “Bad Idea Right?” music video and gushed about her talented friend.

When asked about the process of signing on to do Olivia‘s music video, Tate recalled, “Yeah, she just texted me. She was like, ‘Oh, do you want to do a music video like tomorrow?’ I was like, ‘Sure.’ It was so fun. I mean, all those girls are genuinely just the best girls ever.
She noted that being in someone else’s music video was relatively low-stress.
“I’m like, ‘We don’t have to really do anything,’” Tate remembered. “And also like, I know how stressful it is being in front of the camera as an artist, like it’s scary because you’re like, ‘Oh my god, everyone’s looking at me,’ and it was just interesting to see like Olivia in that position and then obviously us just being there to support her was really fun.”
The “You Broke Me First” singer had lots of positive things to say about Olivia. She explained that she’s constantly inspired by other women in the entertainment industry.
“I mean, I adore her,” Tate shared. “I think she’s so talented and so beautiful. All those girls I admire a lot and I think I would take qualities from every single one of them and I feel like that’s just what you do when you have really cool girls around you is just be like, ‘Oh my god, like your fashion and the way you speak and the way you walk,’ and I think we just take from each other and inspire each other, but yeah, they’re all the best. I mean, I feel very grateful to be around people like that.”
