22), was referring to Angus Cloud, who died at 25 in July, reportedly after consuming a lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, benzodiazepine and other drugs in what’s being ruled as an accidental overdose.The “Euphoria” star, who was born Conor Angus Cloud Hickey, was found dead at his family’s home in Oakland, California, where he was discovered by his mother.“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” a statement from Cloud’s family said at the time. “As an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”At the time of Cloud’s passing, his family did not reveal what happened to him but said that he struggled with his mental health.“We hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence,” the statement read.
“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”Sweeney starred alongside Cloud in Seasons 1 and 2 of HBO’s “Euphoria,” which follows troubled teens including drug addict Rue (Zendaya), abusive football player Nate (Jacob Elordi), transgender girl Jules (Hunter Schafer), popular girl Cassie (Sweeney) and soulful drug dealer Fezco “Fez” O’Neill (Cloud).
Shortly after his death, Sweeney posted a tribute on Instagram. “Angus you were an open soul, with the kindest heart, and you filled every room with laughter,” Sweeney wrote.
