Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Kino Lorber has bought U.S. and Anglo-Canadian distribution rights to Nicolas Philibert’s poignant documentary “On the Adamant” which just won the Golden Bear at this year’s Berlin Film Festival. Kino Lorber is planning a theatrical release later this year followed by a digital and home video release on all major platforms. Sold by Films du Losange, “On the Adamant” takes place at a unique day-care centre for adults suffering from mental disorders. Located in a structure floating the middle of the Seine, in Paris, the center heals these adults with a blend of therapy, education, and culture rooted in music and the arts. The affecting documentary follows the team running the Adamant as they attempt to transform and uplift the lives for these people.

Through a mix of flashbacks and present day, the show depicts how the athletes transitioned from an elite team into a savage clan. The second season picks up two months after Shauna disregarded Jackie with bad results. The tensions have grown within the team with winter conditions intensifying, leaving the girls to make impossible decisions to survive.

Losada (“Loot,” “Los Frikis”), Matt Oberg (“Veep,” “Superstore”), Ryan Farrell (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “The Deuce”), and Alexandra Siegel (“Bosch,” “American Auto”) are the latest additions to the cast. Yellowjackets was a nostalgic-tinged thriller which turned out to be one of the 2022’s breakout TV successes.The show is principally set in 1996, and tells the story of a high school girls soccer team whose plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness en route to the national championships. Some of the team die in the crash, though most of them survive.

Ashley Park has been added to the cast of the upcoming movie musical from Paramount Pictures. While her character details are being kept under wraps, ET has confirmed she will have a cameo role in the adaptation after first originating the role of Gretchen Wieners in the Broadway musical. Park joins a sprawling ensemble cast that includes Angourie Rice, Reneé Rapp, Auli'i Cravalho, Jaquel Spivey, Tina Fey, Tim Meadows, Jenna Fischer, Busy Philipps, Avantika, Christopher Briney and Bebe Wood.The film directed by Arturo Perez and Samantha Jayne and written by Fey is based on the latter's own musical adaptation of the 2004 hit film, which ran on Broadway from 2018 before permanently closing in 2021 after 833 performances. Park, who has since broken out as Mindy Chen on Netflix's, was part of the original  Broadway cast, playing Gretchen alongside Erika Henningsen (Cady), Taylor Louderman (Regina), Barrett Wilbert Weed (Janis), Grey Henson (Damian) and Kate Rockwell (Karen).
