This morning it was confirmed that Greater Manchester had secured an initial £3.1m from the government’s ‘emergency active travel fund’, intended as a way to quickly capitalise on increased walking and cycling during the lockdown and to use road space in a creative way while public transport use is restricted due to Covid-19.
