See Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya Deal With the Unknown in the First Tailer for Jordan Peele's 'Nope'

Jordan Peele has unveiled the first look at his upcoming sci-fi thriller, . The trailer aired ahead of Super Bowl LVI Sunday and kicked off with narration from one of the film's stars, Keke Palmer.Palmer plays Jill Haywood, who owns Haywood Ranch, home of Hollywood's only black-owned horse trainers, with her husband, James Haywood, played by Daniel Kaluuya. In the trailer for the film, out this summer, Jill riddles off facts about the first motion picture, as stop-motion images of a black man on a horse flash across the screen. She's then seen in front of a green screen, shooting the ranch's latest commercial with her husband, James, who seems despondent as he stands along his upbeat wife on set.Nope tells the story of Haywood Ranch and the strange phenomenon that quickly befalls the ranch and the entire town, decimating and destroying anything in its reach, in what can only be described by James as a «bad miracle.»It's unclear if Jill, James or their family's ranch will be able to withstand the impending doom and bad luck that has fallen on their otherwise untouched slice of the American West. The film also stars 's Steven Yeun, 's Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea and more.Produced by Peele's Monkeypaw's Productions the film follows in the footsteps of Peele's nail-biting films, including  and  in what's sure to be one of this summer's most talked-about movies.See the first look at  in the trailer below: hits theaters on July 22, 2022.

Watch the first trailer for Jordan Peele’s mysterious new horror ‘Nope’

Nope – the secretive new horror film from Get Out and Us helmer Jordan Peele – has landed online ahead of its premiere during the Super Bowl LVI later today.Billed by Universal Pictures as an “expansive horror epic” and “a new pop nightmare”, the film’s storyline remains shrouded in mystery. What we do know, per an official synopsis, is that Nope will terrorise an ensemble cast (led by Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun) as they “bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery” in “a lonely gulch of inland California”.Towards the end of the trailer, Palmer’s character – supposedly the great, great, great granddaughter of the man featured in The Horse In Motion (believed to be the first moving picture) – is flung into the atmospheric force teased to be at the film’s core.Check out the trailer for Nope below:Nope was formally announced last July, following months of speculation that Kaluuya would reunite with Peele for a clandestine horror.

Wilson Chapman editorJordan Peele’s new nightmare is coming soon to a theater near you.‘Twas the night before the Super Bowl that Universal Pictures suddenly dropped the first trailer for “Nope,” the upcoming third feature film from the acclaimed director behind “Get Out” and “Us.” The studio released the first extended look at the upcoming thriller early Sunday morning.Similar to when “Us” was first announced, the plot of “Nope” has been largely kept under wraps up to this point. (The poster featured a sinister-looking cloud.)We don’t know much else about “Nope,” besides that the cast also features Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea, and Michael Wincott, and that it was shot by Christopher Nolan’s regular cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema (who shot some of it for IMAX).

previously snagged the rights to the next film by Nikyata Jusu, the director of “Nanny” whose film won the Jury Prize at this year’s Sundance. “Honk for Jesus” is a comedy and satire filmed partially as a faux-documentary, and it follows Pastor Lee-Curtis Childs (Brown) and his wife, First Lady Trinitie Childs (Hall), as the heads of a Southern Baptist mega church as they try and bounce back from a scandal that’s forced them to shut their doors and led their congregation to leave in a mass exodus. The film picks up in the aftermath as the Childs, still insanely wealthy, try and host an Easter service and drum up attention for the community with a feeble attempt telling passers by on the highway to “Honk for Jesus.” The movie satirizes the culture of for-profit religion and the corruption, back biting and ego that goes on behind the scenes.
