STV’s flagship news show attracted more viewers than BBC’s Reporting Scotland during 2019 – the first time in five years the station has won the ratings war.
Figures show STV News at Six delivered an average audience of 390,000 – a 30 per cent share of total viewers in Scotland.
Meanwhile, the BBC’s 6.30pm programme posted a 380,000 average – a 28 per cent share.
STV revamped its 6pm news in 2018 when the station merged bulletins from the east and the west into one show.
