A stunning house on the banks of Bardowie Loch and only 20 minutes from Glasgow has just gone on sale. Lochside is found on the grounds of the beautiful Bardowie Castle.
Described as a "fantastic detached family home in an exclusive setting overlooking the loch", the five-bedroom house was built back in the early 1990s as part of an exclusive courtyard development totalling three properties by the castle.
It's on the market for offers over £650k, the house comes with half an acre of grounds. Tom Stewart-Moore of estate agents Knight Frank, who are looking after the sale, said: "Lochside is an attractive detached family home that was constructed in 1992 as part of an exclusive courtyard development totalling three properties by Bardowie Castle.
"The property was finished to a very high standard throughout, with almost 4,110 sq ft of living space, ideal for entertaining and everyday family living. Lochside has a design reminiscent of the Georgian period, finished in stone beneath a pitched slate roof."

They added that the property will need some work as, in 2021, whilst vacant, it experienced a burst water pipe, causing damage to both parts of the ground and first floors of the property.
A specialist firm was employed to remove the affected areas, including the removal of some floor areas as well as the units in the kitchen and utility room.
They said the property does require investment including internal redecoration, some new flooring and installation of a new kitchen and utility room.
As well as electric entrance gates, the new owners would have access to Bardowie Loch with communal lochside grounds extending to 0.56 acres
