Strictly Come Dancing viewers are convinced they have spotted a feud between one of the show's professional dancers and a judge. Following this weekend's episodes, they now believe that long-serving pro Karen Hauer and head judge Shirley Ballas are in the midst of a feud.
Fans first spotted the issue after Karen and her celebrity partner, Eddie Kadi, took to the dance floor for the second time in this series on Saturday, 30 September.
Their Cha Cha Cha managed to get them a score of 21 out of 40 from the judges, and they sailed through to Movie Week, which will take place on Saturday, 7 October. After the dance, the pair made their way over to host Tess Daly, to receive their feedback from the judges.
Giving her critique, Shirley, 63, explained: "I want to be fair to everybody, and week two and three are a little bit technical, you danced everything on your toes. It's not a toe-in Cha Cha Cha, it's more flat, you have to lower your heels." She added: "I didn't see a straight leg, the weight was back, I didn't mind this Cuban thing going, but not for the whole routine.
"The posture needs to be in a straight line, and we need a little bit of what is a straight leg and what is a bent leg." Strictly fans suggested Karen didn't look impressed with Shirley's comments, with many questioning if the pair were feuding. On social media, one person wrote: "I've always got the impression that Shirley and Karen don’t get along, possibly because Shirley was a mentor to Kevin Clifton and Karen and Kevin obviously divorced.
"But Eddie should not have been caught in the crossfire. He has no control over the choreography, so critiquing him on that and not giving him any actual feedback on his performance is ridiculous." While another added:
