After initially choosing to hold the event in a virtual form due to the coronavirus, COVID-19 pandemic, it turns out that the Tony Awards have been postponed amid the ‘ongoing racism and injustices’ that have been in the forefront of everyone’s minds since the senseless murder of George Floyd.

Many celebrities aren't sitting around in silence any longer. In the last few days, stars participated in nationwide protests to stand in solidarity with the black community.

The 2020 Tony Awards are being postponed once again. On Monday, Broadway On Demand announced that they were postponing the Tonys celebration that was scheduled to air on the newly launched streaming service this Sunday, in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and the ongoing protests across the country.
