Storm Dennis has destroyed a bridge crossing the River Irwell in Salford.
Rising water levels appear to have caused the bridge to collapse, after Greater Manchester was hit with persistent heavy rainfall.
Footage shows extensive damage to the metal framework which has been left sprawled across the river, near Clifton.
It is believed the bridge had been carrying a sewer main.
