Joe Otterson TV Reporter Noah Hawley‘s “Alien” series at FX has filled out its main cast with six new additions, Variety has learned exclusively. Babou Ceesay (“Guerrilla,” “Damilola”), Jonathan Ajayi (“Wonder Woman 1984,” “Noughts and Crosses”), Erana James (“Uproar,” “The Wilds”), Lily Newmark (“Pin Cushion,” “Sex Education”), Diêm Camille (“Washington Black,” “Alex Rider 3”), and Adrian Edmondson (“War & Peace,” “A Spy Among Friends”) have all been cast in the series. They join previously announced cast members Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, David Rysdahl, Samuel Blenkin, and Adarsh Gourav.

Netflix has snapped up rights to Incoming, a comedy written and directed by The Mick creators Dave Chernin and John Chernin, in their feature debut.

Starz family crime drama Power Book III: Raising Kanan has received an early renewal for Season 4, ahead of its December 1 Season 3 premiere. Production will begin this week in New York.

As initially reported in May 2022, the project is currently set up at Max with a script-to-series commitment. In an interview with Variety, Thompson says he and Mitchell will “one million percent” keep working together after the debut of the long-awaited sequel to their cult classic Nickelodeon film on Paramount+. “It would be only right for us to continue to go explore what Kenan and Kel could have been when we were in our 20s when we left Nickelodeon and decided to try to figure it out, instead of just automatically doing the Abbott and Costello thing,” Thompson says.

According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, the fifth season of the spinoff series will consist of 12 episodes. Fox will use “Lone Star,” it’s highest-rated drama, to launch its new shows “Doc” and “Rescue: Hi-Surf,” both of which were ordered earlier this year but have yet to begin production.

Variety has learned exclusively that the comedy duo, who star in the upcoming film “Good Burger 2,” will be onboard when the Burgermobile from the film takes part in the 97th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was previously announced that the iconic car would be part of the parade, though Thompson and Mitchell’s participation was not known at that time.

The show, based on characters created for DC by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner, was originally ordered to series at Max back in April 2022. However, it was reported earlier this year that it would be moving to Netflix due to the fact it did not fit the new direction for Max-DC content being spearheaded by James Gunn and Peter Safran.
