‘Star Wars’ actor admits he stole part of Millennium Falcon from ‘Rise Of Skywalker’ set

Though the production delays of major films such as “Mission: Impossible 7,” “The Matrix 4,” “Avatar 2,” and the various projects at Marvel Studios seem to be getting a lot of headlines due to the COVID-19 pandemic, TV is probably in a worse spot. With seasons of series already wrapped up for the year, pretty much all new installments of shows have been delayed due to the pandemic, leaving networks and streaming services without much to offer this fall.

If you’ve been following John Boyega on social media for any length of time, especially in the months since the release of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” you know the actor isn’t afraid to speak his mind and challenge folks that he doesn’t agree with. So, when the killing of George Floyd made headlines around the world, the young actor has been on the forefront of sharing his support for Black Lives Matter and speaking up against racism.

To help enforce social distancing restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, Walt Disney World has enlisted Stormtroopers from “Star Wars.”

In a tweet, John Boyega slammed Star Wars fans who compared the George Floyd protests to the violence that the franchise’s characters, many of whom are white, have faced at the hands of fictional soldiers called Stormtroopers. Boyega, who played Finn in the most recent Star Wars trilogy, criticized fans who co-opted his tweets about Black Lives Matter and system racism with tweets about he needs to “talk about police brutality against white people.”
