Britney Spears announced on Monday that she is pregnant after being publicly open about wishing for another child. In the last few months of her conservatorship the 40 year old shockingly revealed that she was prevented from having a baby with fiancé Sam Asghari whilst she was locked in her conservatorship after not being allowed off of birth control. Before and after her release from the court appointed guardianship in November last year, Britney, 40, had discussed how she wished for another child — and her dream came true as she announced her pregnancy news on Instagram this week.

The 40-year-old singer revealed that she’s newly pregnant with her fiancé Sam Asghari in an Instagram post on Monday, April 11. Britney, who shares sons Jayden, 15, and Sean, 16, with her ex, Kevin Federline, explained that she “lost so much weight” before the couple went to Miami, and Sam jokingly told her that she was “food pregnant” before she got a positive pregnancy test.
