Emergency services were called to Cross Street, near Tesco Express, just after 6.30pm yesterday evening (June 17).Police, an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and fire crews from Hindley were all in attendance.According to the ambulance service, it was a road traffic collision (RTC) involving two cars.An ambulance service spokesman said: "We got called to the incident on Cross Street at 6.38pm.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor is in hospital after a ‘gory’ road accident left her bruised all over.
The mum-of-three was cycling her bike close to her home in West London when she suffered a bad fall and the emergency services needed to be called to take her to A&E.
Thankfully her husband Richard Jones of the Brit group The Feeling was with her at the time to get help. Four runners also came to her aid and helped to keep her ‘calm.’
