Soap star Johnny Wactor tragically passed away at age 37 on Saturday (25 May) after an altercation in a Los Angeles car park led to him being shot at. Johnny, who was known for his role in US show General Hospital, noticed three men allegedly attempting to steal a catalytic converter from his car and was fatally shot - despite not getting involved, according to police. His mother, Scarlett, then confirmed to TMZ that Johnny had sadly lost his life in hospital.
Scarlett has also detailed that her son had left a rooftop bar nearby when he saw the three by his car, but wasn't aware what was going on.
The police have confirmed that the three suspects fled the scene in a vehicle and have not been arrested. In a statement to ABC, Johnny's mother shared: "There are not enough words to tell what a beautiful soul he was. He was a kind loving son and brother, he lived life to the fullest.
He set goals and went after them.
There is a very large hole on our hearts and lives." Johnny's agent, David Shaul, described him as a "spectacular human being" as he also confirmed the actor's death to Variety, releasing a statement. He wrote: "Not just a talented actor who was committed to his craft but a real moral example to everyone who knew him. Standing for hard work, tenacity and a never give up attitude.” “He would literally give you the shirt off his back.

Many other tributes have been pouring in for Johnny, with Perez Hilton commenting on the actor's last Instagram post saying: "My deepest condolences to all of your loved ones.
